Dewatering and management of sludge and residues
Autofric's business rests on several solid pillars. Unique expertise in screw production, machine design, and application areas enables us to develop a unique product program for energy-efficient dewatering.
The basis is a well-dimensioned program of screw presses for dewatering sewage sludge. However, the technology is also fully applicable in industry, where customized versions of our machines can be used for dewatering in industrial flows and industrial residues.
Sludge Screening
The Autofric Sludge Cleaner is primarily used in municipal wastewater treatment plants to separate fibers from sludge before it reaches the digester.
The Sludge Cleaner can also be used in many other applications where fibers cause problems for pumps, mixers, and similar equipment. Examples include wastewater treatment on board ships, recycling facilities, resource recovery processes in waste management, and other industrial environments.

Use of our screw presses
Water and wastewater treatment
Several of Autofric's products are aimed at separating, dewatering, and transporting particles and sludge from municipal water and wastewater treatment plants. Screw presses and screw conveyors are tailored to your needs.
Industrial processes
Screw presses are used for dewatering in industrial purification but also in the handling of residues. Screw conveyors are used to make material handling more efficient.
District Heating Plants
In district heating plants and combined heat and power (CHP) facilities, residual products are generated from the combustion process in the form of bottom ash, fly ash, and other particulates.
Biogas Production
In biogas plants, large volumes of digestate and sludge are generated during anaerobic digestion and gas production.
Recycling and Waste Treatment
