Acquisition of Jernbro Water Technologies strengthens our product portfolio
Autofric has acquired Jernbro Water Technologies from the well-established industrial group Jernbro Group. Through this acquisition, we further strengthen our already robust product offering, our organization, and our ability to serve the Swedish market in sludge treatment.
In early February, Autofric signed an agreement to acquire Jernbro Water Technologies from the Jernbro Group.
Jernbrogruppen is a well-known provider of services, maintenance, and contracting solutions within Swedish industry. By divesting the operations of its specialized unit Jernbro Water Technologies, Jernbro aims to sharpen its focus on its core business in industrial services and contracting.
Jernbro Water Technologies holds a strong position in equipment and solutions for municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment, with particular expertise in sludge treatment. The company offers products and solutions including polymer preparation and thickening.
For Autofric, this acquisition represents an important strategic step. Jernbro’s products complement our own screw presses and screw conveyors exceptionally well, making us a complete supplier in sludge treatment — from sludge screening, polymer handling and preparation to thickening and dewatering.
The acquisition also strengthens our organization and presence in Sweden. We are establishing a new sales and project management department in Gothenburg, enhancing our expertise in process engineering, laboratory services, and operational optimization in southern Sweden, and adding a well-established service and aftermarket organization in central Sweden. With these capabilities in place, we can efficiently serve the Swedish market with high-quality products, complete solutions, as well as service and aftermarket support.
During the acquisition process, we have come to know the Jernbro organization well. Our own expertise in products and processes aligns perfectly with Jernbro’s strengths in contracting and project execution, creating opportunities for strong collaboration going forward.
