Say Hello to Lars – Our New Team Leader
Lars has been with us since October 1 and is responsible for the new pickling line. With a long background in a completely different industry, Lars has taken the step into something new and is looking forward to growing together with the company. Get to know him better in a short interview.
Hi Lars! Can you tell us what you do at Autofric?
"I work as the team leader for the pickling line, a new part of production where we treat our products to prevent rust and increase durability. Soon, I will also be responsible for water purification and sampling so it can be reused in an environmentally friendly way. Right now, the dirty water is collected by tanker truck, but we will soon have our own purification system. Besides that, I also help out in assembly."
What made you want to join Autofric?
"I’ve known about Autofric for a long time because I have many friends who work here, and I’m from the area myself. I had previously worked at a plant nursery for 17 years and felt it was time for a change. When I heard about the job at Autofric, it seemed like an exciting opportunity to switch industries entirely."
What has been the biggest challenge in changing jobs and industries completely?
"Since I don’t have any formal education or prior experience in this specific field, there has obviously been a lot to take in. But I see it mostly as a positive. It’s exciting to learn something completely different and to challenge myself. Right now it’s just me and one other person on the team, but the plan is to add another member in the future. It feels great to be part of the launch of a new part of the organization and to grow along with it."
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
"One of my biggest hobbies is snowmobiling. I have a cabin in Tyngsjö, a bit further north, where there’s often more snow than here in Hagfors – perfect for snowmobiling. I love spending time there whenever I get the chance. I also really enjoy being outdoors, fishing, and spending time in the forest. It’s a great way to relax."
